Review: Urban Decay Gwen Stefani Blush Palette

Like most beauty fanatics, I was super super excited to get my hands on some of the Urban Decay Gwen Stefani collection. I bought the eyeshadow palette and the blush palette and wanted to do reviews of them but once I'd properly used them.

I've been using this palette on and off (as you'll be able to tell from the state of it) with my Benefit Rockateur and have definitely fallen in love with it.

Book Review: The Girl on the Train By Paula Hawkins

This is a bit of a different post from my usual ones. I've never written a book review on my blog, so I'm not sure how this'll turn out. But here goes.

I had to write to write one for this book. I'd heard and read so much about it - The Girl on the Train - that I eventually gave in and decided to buy a copy. And I definitely didn't regret it.

Review: Topshop Highlighter

So, I've really been getting into highlighting lately and any excuse to buy another one and I'll take it.

I'd heard so much about the Topshop Highlighter, previously, but just never picked up. So a few weeks ago, I decided to take the plunge and give it a go.

They do a few different highlighters but I decided to go for a shade called Horizon.

BBC Three: Murdered By My ... Series

Over the past few weeks, I've been watching a series of factual programmes on BBC iplayer which have been a part of BBC Three moving online.
The first one I came across when I was just browsing for something to watch and the second I saw an advert for. However they both went by the title Murdered By My ... and then a relation.

Charlotte Tilbury Mini Lipstick Charms

So, I was in the Birmingham Selfridges over the weekend having a browse when I saw Charlotte Tilbury. I didn't realise they sold CT so naturally had to wonder over & have a look.

I've got one of the Matte lipsticks and absolutely love it. It's not a brand I can afford but go all out on but I was there looking and really wanted another lipstick to add to my collection. When I came across a Mini Lipstick Charms Trio pack.
Price: £29

Review: Benefit Rockateur Blusher

This might seem like an old product to blog about and review. But I got the Benefit Advent Calendar over Christmas and have been trying out the mini products I got. I wanted to properly use them before I decided to review them.

And one item I've really really loved has been the Rockateur blusher.

Mothers Day Afternoon Tea at A Perfect Blend

I've mentioned A Perfect Blend on my blog before but it's a little cafe in the town where I live - Loughborough.

And with it being Mothers Day I wasn't sure what to get my mum or aunt. They seem to have everything and I didn't want to get them anything 'standard' like perfume, jewellery etc. So when I saw A Perfect Blend were doing a Mothers Day Afternoon Tea, I knew this would have to be their present and treat.

Lion King at The Lyceum Theatre, London

I don't know how helpful this post will be or how much of a point this post will have.

But over the weekend, I went to London with my mum to watch The Lion King. It's always been one I've wanted to watch in theatre. I'd heard so much about it and around Christmas, I thought I'm just going to book tickets. So I did.

Make-up Brush Haul

So I've slowly began to realise that I need to grow my make-up brush collection. But I'm always looking for alternatives to Real Techniques.

And TK Maxx is the perfect place, I find, to get reasonably priced brushes and collections. So I popped in there a few weeks ago to see what they had.

Am I really that unemployable?

I don't really know if I should be writing this. I'm still not sure if I'm actually going to publish this. But I just kind of need somewhere to write all of this down.

So as you get towards the end of a university course, you start preparing yourself for the whole world of work. And this is exactly what happened to me about 7 months ago.

Review: Maybelline The Falsies Push Up Drama Mascara

I've heard and read so much about this mascara. Every time I watch TV the advert for it seems to come on and it promises so much. So eventually I gave in and decided to give it a try.

I bought this a good few weeks ago but wanted to give it a proper try before I reviewed it.

Primark Contour Kit

I was just having a little browse around Primark when I came across a 3 piece contour kit. So you get a highlighter, bronze and contour. And it's not powder its pens/sticks. I was pretty intrigued to see if they actually work.

Sephora Brushes: Goodies from New York

Over Christmas my cousin and sister in law went to New York and I was super excited when they bought me something back - Sephora brushes.

I'm not a massive Sephora products user but have heard so much about the brand so I couldn't wait to open the brushes and check them out.

Are you on the fitness craze?

I bet so many people made a New Year's resolution to get fitter this year or go to the gym. And I bet so many of those people have already broken that resolution.

Getting fitter, exercising, keeping in shape have all become a pretty big thing over the past few months. So how do you motivate yourself to keep at it?

Laura Geller Baked Sculpting Bronzer

I was in Debenhams last week and couldn't help buying some make up. Ever since I went in there last year I've been introduced to Laura Geller make up and have really loved her primer.

I mentioned in a post that I went to colour match myself with the Too Faced Born This Way foundation and the beauty consultant decided to give me a face makeover. Well she used the Laura Geller highlighter and I've been tempted to go back ever since. So when I went into Debenhams last week I decided I had to buy it seeing as I'd fallen in love with it so much.

But I ended up buying the Sculpting Bronzer by mistake. I realised once I'd opened the box that I'd been given the wrong one. I'm not complaining too much though, the bronzer has a highlighter in it too.

Baking Cake Pops

Happy New Year.

To start the year off I thought I'd put up a little baking post. I went to London over the weekend and decided to try making cake pops to take with me. I'd never made them before but I know they're the 'in' thing at the moment and wanted to make something different to cupcakes.
