October Favourites

It's been quite a while since I posted a favourites post but I feel like there's a few bits I've really been loving so wanted to share them with you. It's not just all beauty so hopefully there's something for everyone.

Beauty

There's 2 make-up items I've really been enjoying using this month. They're both new purchases for this month but have passed the month usage trial (something I clearly just made up because I didn't know how else to say it).

How to Live the Chelsea Life: Obnoxious or The Truth?

Yesterday while I was watching Made in Chelsea (MiC), an advert for a programme called 'How to Live the Chelsea Life' came on, which was being shown after MiC. Being a MiC fan, I've always been pretty envious of their lives so I knew I wasn't going to miss this show.

So for anyone who missed it, How to Live the Chelsea Life was basically about an estate agents (Capital Living) who rented properties in Chelsea and Fulham. As you started to watch you probably just thought 'wow these places look amazing' because I definitely did.

My Everyday Make-up

I was wondering what to do as my next post when I came across a few 'everyday make-up routines' so I thought I'd show you my everyday make-up. I don't think I've ever done a post like this but it gives you a little look into my beauty items.

Carrot Cupcakes and Mint Cupcakes Recipe

I decided to get baking last week. I haven't baked in ages and used to love doing it for bake sales at school but just haven't had a reason to bake lately. But last week I thought I'd re-discover my love of baking with various flavoured cupcakes.

52 Lists. Week 7: List the Things That Make You Feel Healthy

So I'm very very very very very behind on the 52 Lists challenge I started months ago. But I'm back and I've decided instead of posting every week I'm going to make into a fortnightly thing.

If you don't know what 52 Lists is check out my other posts. But basically every week you get a topic of which you make a list of things to go in it. This week it's things that make you feel healthy.

Make-up Haul

Naughty me has been spending I don't have (well it was kind of my birthday money) on make up. So I thought I'd share what I've bought.

Laura Geller Make-up Primer
This is a new find of mine. When I went into Debenhams to try out the Too Faced Foundation, the lovely Sales Advisor decided to give me a makeover in the process of colour matching foundation.

So to prime my face she introduced me to Laura Geller and the hydrating primer. She told me if you've ever flicked onto the shopping channel QVC you might have seen her products on there. But they've now decided to sell the brand in stores too. The sales advisor found my skin to be quite dry and suggested this would help that. So far I've been enjoying using it. It does the job so I'm going to keep using it and hope that doesn't change.

Too Faced Born This Way Foundation
Too Faced is fast becoming a popular brand in my make-up bag. After absolutely falling in love with the Better than Sex Mascara, I wanted to give the foundation a try. I'm currently using The Body Shop one and as much as I've loved it up to now it doesn't seem to agree with my skin lately. So I was going to wait til I'd finished my bottle of that but couldn't resist buying the Born This Way

I only bought it last week but have pretty much used it everyday and loved it. It glides on effortlessly and have found it so easy to blend. You get a medium to full coverage depending on how much you put on and it leaves a slight dewy effect. But it's not over oily or shiny. For now I'd say this one to buy but I'll keep you updated.

Bourjois Chocolate Bronzer and Highlighter

This has been one I've always wanted to buy but have always tried alternatives and other brands. Everyone seems to rave about this. And there's a make-up shop in town where I live, Loughborough, that sells beauty items at a slightly more reasonable price. Popping in there I couldn't resist picking this up.

Again, there's a reason behind this. When I went into Debenhams, the make-up advisor used the Laura Geller highlighter on me which I absolutely loved but knew I couldn't afford alongside everything else so I left it. But ever since I've been looking for a good highlighter so when I saw the Chocolate Bronzer combo I had to give it a try.

Sleek Santa Marina Blush By 3 Palette
I absolutely love Sleek blushers but I had no idea they'd even realised a Nautical Collection. So when I saw this I had to give it a try. I love that the shades aren't too bright so I reckon this could be an Autumnal Palette as well as a Summery one.

I love the neutral shade in the middle perfect for when you just want some shimmer and not too much colour. I'm excited to give everything a proper try and definitely won't be buying more make-up any time soon. I'm all make-up-ed out for now.

Have you tried any of these items? I'd love to know how you found them.
