Peddlers Night Market in Sheffield

So over the weekend I went to something that I found quite interesting - a street-food night market. It was set up by a company called Peddler in Sheffield. I actually went for a uni project but couldn't help but blog about it on here.

Basically, all these street-food traders came to one street in Sheffield and conveniently it was right behind where I live, so how could I not go?

The Market ran on Friday, 5-10.30pm and Sat 2-10.30pm. There was a little bit that was inside, in this abandoned style warehouse and then outside on the street too. I loved the deco of the 'warehouse' it was cute and pretty.

I couldn't go to a food market and not try some food. I'll be honest it all looked so good and I didn't know what to pick. Friday night went like this...

Some very yummy brownies and doughnuts from The Depot Bakery. Trust me they tasted just as good as they look here. They were freshly made and if I could've I would have eaten all of these.

A fish and mushy peas cob from The Hip Hop Chip Shop. It was also as yummy as it looks here. (I can literally feel my mouth watering again as I write this).

And then a passion fruit and kiwi cocktail from Tamper Coffee. Yes, they were also selling coffee but you can't resist a cocktail right? This was also very yummy. It had a bit of savoury/sour taste but I loved it.

Going back on Saturday, the main reason we went back was to take clearer pictures in the day. But oops, I saw a Pizza company and wanted it, of course.

A Chicken and Chorizo Pizza from Nether Edge Pizza definitely hit the spot. It was freshly made and cooked in a coal oven. It tasted so nice and you could taste the coaly/oven cooked taste.

There was also some live musicians playing which was great. The guy playing while we were there - Kid Conventional - was so talented and the sun shining down made it even nicer to listen and watch him.

I think they're planning the next one for May which I can't for and I'll still be in Sheffield for it. Yaay. Sheffield definitely needs more events like this. It's just a buzzing, brilliant atmosphere and you get to try some amazing food. As well as these stalls, they also had Indian, Chinese, Burgers, Beers, Wine... So something for everyone.

I can't wait for the next one. Hopefully there will be more things like this, even though I won't be here. (sad face) It was a lovely evening and day out.

  3. I love food festivals! There's nothing like wandering through various food stalls and having your pick of whatever you want to eat, then munching in the fresh air. I went to a couple last week ;) That cocktail looks amazing.
