March Favourites

It's been a while since I've done a monthly favourites. Thinking about it now though, March just seems to have flown by and it's been a crazy old, busy month. But I've actually been looking forward to writing this post for a few weeks because even from the end of February there's been a few bits and bobs I've loved.

You Can Do It

So, I wasn't planning on writing this post but I just felt I wanted to kind of just have a chat. I hope it doesn't bore you too much.

So today's a pretty big day. Well no way near as graduation, or getting my first job, or buying my first house - I think you get the point - but to me, it's a pretty big day.

The day I hand in my Applied Project (or you may know it as Dissertation).

Mothers Day Present: What I Bought Her

Sunday was Mothers Day in the UK and going home from uni was a last minute decision so I kind of bought my mum's present last minute. And where's one of the best places to buy presents last minute... notonthehighstreet.com

I love that website for presents, they're all that cheap but there's some really quirky, cute, different things on there. If I'm looking for something special I'll always head to Not on the Highstreet. Anyway, browsing on there, one thing really caught my eye and it was a...

Tips To Help With Dissertations/Big Projects

For students, final year means one big D word - Dissertations. Something we all know is inevitably coming but hope never actually comes. My deadline is in two weeks. Yes TWO WEEKS. Slight panic is setting in.

On my course, we're slightly luckier and have the option of doing something called an Applied Project (AP for short). But don't be fooled it's just as hard and time consuming. Instead of sitting there and writing 6000 odd words, you make something like a magazine, radio segment, blog etc. You get to pick the topic and have something to show for your hard work at the end, I think that's why I picked this option.

Peddlers Night Market in Sheffield

So over the weekend I went to something that I found quite interesting - a street-food night market. It was set up by a company called Peddler in Sheffield. I actually went for a uni project but couldn't help but blog about it on here.

Basically, all these street-food traders came to one street in Sheffield and conveniently it was right behind where I live, so how could I not go?

Review: Whittard Tea, Hot Chocolate and Biscuits

I don't really post food/drink reviews actually I don't think I've ever done one. But a few weeks ago I came across a company called Whittard of Chelsea and got a hold of a few samples of their tea, hot chocolate and biscuits. Trying them I knew a review post was very much needed.

Review: Sniffy Wiffy Blueberry Lotion

Reading this, you may have no idea what or who Sniffy Wiffy is. And neither did I until I went to the Bloggers Love London Fashion Week event last week.

Meeting the lovely people there, they explained to me they sell 'homemade beauty and grooming products' (to quote their Twitter bio). So they sell body creams, scrubs, body oils etc. And the idea behind them to spread awareness of Breast Cancer and Testicular Cancer. We all use body lotions and moisturisers on our skin and they want to promote the idea of checking your skin for signs of Breast and Testicular Cancer when you use your moisturiser.

Their lotions and scrubs even come with the option of ordering a tub which comes with a label showing you how to check yourself. And a proportion of their profits go to Cancer charities. Hearing this I loved the idea behind it and picked up a little sample they had.
