A Simple Little Black Dress

I went out for dinner a few days ago and I thought I'd share my outfit with you...

I went for a simple outfit - a black and gold dress from AX Paris and a belt from New Look. Although I bought both these things quite a while ago, I still love these places and they always have cute buys! So check em out.

I teamed it with simple accessories and make up but that's up to you. I was only going for dinner so kept it simple but depends on the occasion.

I love this dress because it can be a casual one as well as a 'dressy' one. Everyone needs a dress like that so make sure you have one ;)

OOTDY - Outfit of the Day Yesterday...

So I thought I'd share with you what I did yesterday...

Well, I had to go to a religious ceremony and of course I couldn't just turn up in my jeans and t-shirt. So I had to wear a Indian outfit - A sari.

I decided to go for this simple orange and yellow one - it's actually my mum's but it was easy and light to wear.

I teamed it with some simple accessories -some gold earrings, a few bracelets and bangles!

Summery Flower Art

I got a bit bored yesterday and couldn't stand having bare nails so I decided to try a bit of nail art. I've never done this before so it's a bit messy and with practice I hope I'll get better.

I wanted to try something summery but simple so started with daisies. Like I said it looks a bit messy but I'm starting to like it tbh.

I started with the Barry M nude gelly as a base colour but you can use any you want.
I then used a cocktail stick to create the design of the flower. You could use nail art brushes and I've even seen a few done with manicure sticks (if you get me). Anything with a sharp end would work.
I used the Barry M white and La Femme beauty yellow for the daisy. But you can any colours to create different coloured flowers.

So there you go. I'm growing to like nail art and will definitely be practicing and buying some more nail art stuff. Hopefully my next nail art post will be better then this!

Sparkles are a girls best friend

I'm back! So I thought I'd start with a nail art post. I had family engagement the weekend gone and I decided to try something different on my nails...

I went into Superdrug a few weeks ago, found nail  and thought wow! I love it. When this engagement came along it gave me the chance to try it out and I love it even more now.

How to:
1. I started by painting a base coat (sorry it's a bit chipped) that matched my outfit and let that dry completely.

2. I then folded a piece of paper in half - to make it easier to tip the glitter back into the pot - and poured some glitter on it.

3. I painted a second coat and rolled my 'ring finger' in the glitter.

4. I let that dry and carefully painted a clear top coat. I would definitely recommend this as it helps the glitter stay on longer!

I love this effect it's great for parties and special events. But I think it has more of an impact if it's on just one nail.

I used a purple base coat but you can use any colour and you can try other glitters as well. This one is from Superdrug for £4.99 (but they sometimes have offers so look out for them and you can get it cheaper).  I'm definitely gonna buy some other glitters now.

Have a go at such a simple but classy look!
